Understanding the Cornea and Its Role in Your Vision

Imagine the cornea as your eye’s first lens, responsible for focusing light onto your retina. When it’s clear and healthy, your vision is sharp. However, corneal conditions caused by injuries, infections, or genetic factors can cloud this lens. This cloudiness blurs your sight, making daily tasks challenging. Corneal issues, from minor scratches to complex diseases, can impact anyone at any age.
