What You Need to Know About Glaucoma

Glaucoma is often called the “silent thief of sight” because it damages the optic nerve without symptoms until it’s too late. Imagine a gradual narrowing of your visual world, a loss of peripheral vision that can lead to tunnel vision or even blindness. This relentless thief starts with pressure building up inside your eye (intraocular pressure), damaging the delicate nerve fibers responsible for vision.
